Heartbeat monitor

Catch the jobs that never ran

A backup that fails silently doesn't raise errors: nothing happens at all. With heartbeats the job itself sends signs of life, and UptimeAnchor notices when they stop.

Included in every plan: 5 free monitors checked every 5 min, down to every 1 min on paid plans.

How it works

Setting up a Heartbeat monitor takes less than a minute.

  1. 1

    Create the monitor

Set how often the job should run and a grace period. You get a unique URL.

  2. 2

Add one line to the job

At the end of the script, call the URL with curl, wget or from your code. GET or POST, no authentication.

  3. 3

    Alerts on silence

If the ping doesn't arrive within interval plus grace period, the monitor goes DOWN and we alert you.
