Ping monitor

The simplest way to know a server is alive

The ping monitor sends ICMP packets to the host and checks that it replies. Ideal for servers, firewalls, routers and any device with a public IP address.

Included in every plan: 5 free monitors checked every 5 min, down to every 1 min on paid plans.

How it works

Setting up a Ping monitor takes less than a minute.

  1. 1

    Enter host or IP

A domain name or a public IPv4/IPv6 address.

  2. 2

    Regular pings

Probes send ICMP echo requests and measure the round-trip time.

  3. 3

    Alert when it stops replying

If the host doesn't reply within the timeout for several checks, we alert you.
