UDP monitor

Connectionless services deserve attention too

UDP doesn't confirm delivery, which makes it hard to monitor. UptimeAnchor sends a payload of your choice and checks that the service replies as expected.

Included in every plan: 5 free monitors checked every 5 min, down to every 1 min on paid plans.

Example configuration
Host
sip.example.net
Port
5060
Payload
OPTIONS sip:ping SIP/2.0
Expected reply
SIP/2.0 200
UP · valid reply · 38 ms

How it works

Setting up a UDP monitor takes less than a minute.

  1. 1

    Set host, port and payload

Define what to send to the service, as text or hex.

  2. 2

Send and wait for a reply

The probe sends the packet and waits for a reply within the timeout.

  3. 3

    Content verification

If you set an expected reply, we check that it matches before marking the service as UP.
